Call for two VCFSE representatives on GM Land Commission
We are seeking two representatives from the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector to join the Greater Manchester Land Commission on behalf of the GM VCFSE Leadership Group.
The GM Land Commission (GMLC) was established by the GMCA and GM Mayor to improve and enhance the effective use of the public estate by unlocking land and property for housing delivery, economic growth, transformation of public services across the city-region and green sustainability and community benefits
The vision of the GMLC is to enhance the visibility of development plans and gain partner commitment to support the delivery of GM and Local Authority plans.
For more details read the GMLC's terms of reference and the expression of interest form.
Specification:
The GM Land Commission is seeking to appoint two representatives from the VCFSE sector:
- One representative with expertise in community ownership or management of public assets and;
- A second representative with expertise in driving social value from public assets for the wider community.
How to Apply:
Please read and complete the Expression of Interest and monitoring form and return to kassandra.banks@vsnw.org.uk by 5pm, Tuesday 17th June 2025.
This is a great opportunity for two people to provide a voice for the VCFSE sector in this area. If successful, you will be linked in with an informal network of VCFSE representatives across Greater Manchester to ensure you are supported in your role.
Please do share these opportunities with your colleagues or networks and anyone you think may be interested in the roles.
