Call for VCFSE representatives to join Greater Manchester Asylum and Migration Response Group
GMCA is now recruiting 3 representatives from voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations who work with and for non-UK nationals across Greater Manchester to join the GM Asylum & Migration Response Group.
The GM Asylum & Migration Response Group is a bimonthly meeting hosted by the GMCA, which brings together different organisations and agencies working on asylum and migration across GM. The purpose of these meetings is to facilitate partnership working, share best-practice, provide updates on key policy changes, and escalate or raise emerging issues and trends in order to improve outcomes for non-UK nationals living across Great Manchester
The first stage of this process is an opportunity to send an expression of interest to be a part of this group. Once they have a list of all interested participants, VCFSE organisations will to vote for the 3 organisations they would like to join the group.
Read the ‘GM VCFSE representatives – roles and responsibilities’ document, for more information about the role and how to apply, as well as the group's Terms of Reference.
The role is voluntary, however, to enable participation for individuals who would not be taking on the role as part of a salaried strategic position, or those who might otherwise be unable to participate - a small annual bursary is available via the GM VCFSE Leadership Group.
The deadline for expressions of interest is the 18th November 2025.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Katie Howe, Project & Policy Officer - Asylum and Migration, GMCA at Katie.Howe@greatermanchester-ca.gov.uk
