Cohousing and Coop Living in Greater Manchester - A Call to Action
Do you dream of living in a place where you know your neighbours, have shared values and work together to create a great place to live?
At GM Community-led Home's recent Co-housing event, and also from approaches from individuals and groups, we know that plenty of folk do wish to see a far wider range of options when looking for somewhere to call home.
As such, they have scheduled an 'afternoon of action', bringing together like minded people and exploring how can we we work together to create collaborative housing in Greater Manchester.
Whether you are an expert in the theory of cohousing but are frustrated that we have no schemes in Greater Manchester yet, bring your ideas to Hulme on Saturday Nov 21st from 1pm.
AGENDA
1pm: Networking and visits
Arrive from 1pm for networking and tours! Tour of Homes for Change at around 1.20pm; visit Hulme Community Garden Centre (opposite) for some green time. Bring lunch and eat with us, or try out Kim's Kitchen or the Garden Centre cafe (food not provided for this event, sorry).
2 - 4pm: Action Planning Facilitated Session
Building on the findings from recent meetings and events this session will focus on moving ideas forward. The session will create actions and sub groups and particularly focus on how we can be ready to act when an opportunity such as a site or property comes to market.
4 - 5pm: Over to you: next steps and making connections
We have the space until 5pm so would encourage people to stay around, make plans and get to know each other. We can do a coffee run and there will be cake!
