Creating Smokefree Community Spaces: Lessons from Greater Manchester
Over the last 12 months, Making Smoking History has worked together with eight voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations to co-create, test, and evaluate a new Greater Manchester Smokefree Spaces Toolkit.
Together, we've explored how community organisations can create voluntary smokefree outdoor spaces that promote healthier, more inclusive and welcoming environments for staff, volunteers and local communities. The toolkit provides practical guidance to support implementation, while ensuring support is readily available for people who want help to quit smoking.
Join us for a special shared learning webinar to hear directly from the organisations involved, learn what worked in practice, and explore the practical insights that can help other organisations create their own voluntary smokefree spaces across our city-region and inform preparations for the implementation of new smokefree requirements under the Tobacco and Vapes Act.
