New briefing highlights impact to GM Mental Health System due to VCFSE sector pressures
The Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) Mental Health Leadership Group, in collaboration with the GM VCFSE Leadership Group, the Alternative Provider Collaborative and Infrastructure organisations across Greater Manchester (GM), have shared a briefing which addresses the risks and impact to the GM mental health system as a result of pressures on the VCFSE sector.
It highlights the key role of the sector in the mental health ecosystem and the critical services we provide to Greater Manchester residents, as well as the extensive paid and voluntary employment opportunities.
A combination of new and enduring financial pressures, issues relating to the commissioning of mental health support, and a wide range of other key operational issues mean that the priorities for the GM mental health system where VCFSE approaches are critical for success may not be realised.
