Greater Manchester VCFSE Cancer Summit
Join partners at the Greater Manchester VCFSE Cancer Summit onWednesday 3 June in Manchester.
We are inviting VCFSE organisations from across Greater Manchester to join us for a joint summit bringing together the Cancer Alliance and VCFSE partners.
This is a chance to build stronger relationships, share ideas and experience, celebrate impact, and work together to shape how we improve cancer outcomes in our communities in the future.
The event is open to all VCFSE organisations, not just those already working in cancer. We especially welcome new organisations and new voices.
Why attend?
This summit is practical, interactive, and focused on working better together. By attending, organisations will:
- Help shape how we work in neighbourhoods to improve cancer awareness, prevention and early diagnosis, and how cancer support is built into community activity
- Share experiences and ideas to help design better and fairer ways of working together
- Learn simple, practical ways to improve the reach of their work using communication and social media
- Meet other VCFSE organisations across Greater Manchester, build relationships, and explore new ways to work together
What to expect on the day
The summit will be interactive, with short presentations, table discussions, and time to network.
You will hear about:
- the Cancer Alliance, current challenges, and how the VCFSE sector can help shape solutions
- practical tips to improve reach and engagement using social media from colleagues at the Cancer Alliance
We will also take time for discussions, and to celebrate the impact and achievements of the VCFSE sector.
Please note that, due to venue capacity, attendance is limited to two individuals per organisation. If you would like to request additional places, please contact us at the-christie.healthinequalities@nhs.net.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Please share any accessibility requirements so organisers can ensure appropriate arrangements are in place
Travel expenses may be claimed via 10GM for attending the event, subject to submission of receipts and a completed travel form.
