Greater Manchester VCFSE Leadership Group Welcomes New Member
We are pleased to introduce Neil Walbran, CEO of Healthwatch Manchester, as a new Greater Manchester Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) Leadership Group member.
Neil will act as a catalyst and connector between the Leadership Group and the Healthwatch Network across Greater Manchester, helping to build relationships, share intelligence and champion the vital role of Healthwatch at a strategic level.
Neil is the founder and CEO of Healthwatch Manchester which provides the statutory Healthwatch functions for the citizens of Manchester. Through this role he is a member of the Manchester Safeguarding Executive Board, Manchester Quality & Clinical Effectiveness Group, Greater Manchester Patients Safety Research Council Strategic Advisory Group, NHS Greater Manchester Involvement & Assurance Group, and supports the National Network of Local Healthwatch.
Previously to this role Neil worked at Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO) as the strategic lead for commissioning and VCS representative on the Greater Manchester Public Health Network and Health Leadership Group. Before this he led on the Health &Social Care development work at Salford CVS and has led a range of other projects including the National Gay Men’s Project at Scottish AIDS Monitor. He was also a founder and Lead Officer for Access at Pride Scotland.
Neil also serves as a trustee at 15 Square, an international charity which supports and campaigns for genital autonomy in men and boys.
The GM VCFSE Leadership Group was established to provide a stronger voice for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector in the devolution of Greater Manchester. The Group works to influence policy, investment and partnership activity, ensuring the sector's role and expertise is recognised and embedded across key agendas. We endeavour to ensure our membership reflects the wider VCFSE sector in Greater Manchester, its key networks, and the communities it serves.
