This consultation on the proposed Oldham Mayoral Development Corporation sets out the proposals that will play a central role in delivering the Oldham Vision by supporting a thriving and resilient community through the ‘Live Well’ model.
A Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC) is a statutory body created to bring forward the regeneration of a defined area, bringing together stakeholders across public and private sectors to ensure its success. They have powers to acquire develop, hold, and dispose of land and property. They also have powers to facilitate the provision of infrastructure.
During this consultation, GMCA will gather public comments and opinions on.

- If you think our proposals will help to support development, growth and improvements in Oldham
- If we’ve got the proposed boundaries of the MDC right – and if not, what we need to consider changing
