Inclusive Resilience Pathways Launch

Join GMCA for the launch of the Inclusive Resilience Pathways Toolkits.

Emergencies can happen anywhere and affect communities in very different ways.

Community organisations often know their neighbourhoods, the people who may need support and the local networks people trust. Inclusive Resilience Pathways has explored how that knowledge can play a stronger part in preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies.

The project has produced two paired resources:

  • Getting Ready for Emergencies: A Toolkit for Community Organisations
  • Bringing Community Voice into Resilience Planning: A Practical Guide for Resilience Practitioners

Designed to work alongside each other, the toolkits help community organisations think about the role they can play before, during and after an emergency, while helping emergency planners and responders involve communities more effectively in their work.

Developed with VCFSE organisations, local authorities and resilience practitioners across Merseyside, Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, London and Greater Manchester, the resources offer practical ways to build stronger connections and work differently together.

Whether you work in a community or faith organisation, local authority, public service or emergency planning role, join us to explore the resources, hear what we learned through the project and think about how they could support your work.
