This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape Greater Manchester’s approach to working with the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector. As VCFSE Accord Principal, you will act as a catalyst and connector, promoting and facilitating collaboration between the GMCA and wider Group, Greater Manchester NHS/Integrated Care System, and the VCFSE sector, in line with the GM VCFSE Accord.
You will oversee the development and implementation of the Accord, ensuring its principles are embedded in policy and practice, and championing the role of the VCFSE sector in delivering the Greater Manchester Strategy.
To include providing strategic advice to senior leaders, including the Mayor, Group Chief Executive and VCFSE Portfolio Lead, and supporting inclusive and community-led approaches to public policy and delivery.
This role involves working across all ten boroughs, building relationships, sharing learning, and supporting co-design and innovation. You will also manage the grant agreement supporting the Accord’s delivery and convene key forums to strengthen cross-sector collaboration.

You will bring significant experience of working within or alongside the VCFSE sector, with a deep understanding of its diversity, strengths, and challenges. You will be a credible leader, able to influence senior stakeholders and champion the value of community-led approaches.
You will have a strong grasp of Greater Manchester’s public service landscape and experience of strategic leadership, partnership working, and co-design.
You will be an excellent communicator, able to build trust and foster collaboration across sectors.
