New report on Developing Greater Manchester’s VCFSE Ecosystem in 2024/25
A core workstream of the Accord is to develop the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) ecosystem by developing communications and collaboration between local VCFSE infrastructure organisations and other stakeholders at a Greater Manchester level.
This new report details work that took place under this workstream to grow VCFSE infrastructure capacity and the 'scaffolding' to support the involvement of underrepresented communities in each of the 10 local areas of Greater Manchester (GM): Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Salford, Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside, Trafford, and Wigan.
In 2024/25, there were 2 key prioirities:
- Working together to address common issues faced by VCSE organisations across Greater Manchester
- Connecting locality and GM insight at a strategic level, and influencing GM and local plans and activity.
The report covers the role of local VCFSE infrastructure organisations in GM, their work in driving forward the work of the Accord, and their priorities for the next year.
In Greater Manchester, local VCFSE infrastructure organisations include Bolton CVS, Bury Voluntary Community and Faith Alliance, Macc, Action Together, Salford CVS, Sector 3, Thrive Trafford, Voluntary and Community Action Trafford, and Wigan Borough Community First.
