One week to go until Greater Manchester's VCFSE Mayoral Election Hustings

There is now just one week to go until Greater Manchester's Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector comes together to hear directly from candidates standing to become the next Greater Manchester Mayor.

Taking place on the evening of Thursday 16 July, the Greater Manchester Mayoral Election VCFSE Hustings will provide an important opportunity for voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations to hear how candidates plan to work with the sector and respond to the opportunities and challenges facing communities across Greater Manchester.

Hosted by the GM VCFSE Leadership Group, the hustings will bring together candidates to answer questions on the issues that matter most to the VCFSE sector, including partnership working, community power, prevention, inequality and the vital role that VCFSE organisations play in improving the lives of residents across all ten boroughs.

Candidates invited are:

  • Labour – Bev Craig - confirmed attendance
  • Green – Geraldine Coggins - confirmed attendance
  • Conservative – Phil Eckersley - confirmed attendance
  • Liberal Democrats – Richard Kilpatrick - confirmed attendance
  • Reform UK – Sian Astley - TBC

With the mayoral election approaching on Thursday 30th July, this is a valuable opportunity for organisations across Greater Manchester's VCFSE sector to hear directly from candidates, understand their priorities, and consider how they plan to work alongside the sector over the coming years.

The event will take place from 6.15pm–8:15pm at Friends' Meeting House, 6 Mount Street, Manchester.

The event is free to attend, but advance booking is essential. Attendance is limited to those attending as part of, or with, a VCFSE organisation. We will be unable to admit anyone without a confirmed booking.
