Spaces of Hope and Connection - GM=EqAl Equity Partner Development Day
GM=EqAl is the named pan-GM Equity Partner in the Live Well: Spaces of Hope and Connection programme. These development days form part of the programme’s co-design phase and will help shape the equity strand of the programme, explore what communities need, and inform the Theory of Change that will guide how funding supports geographically dispersed communities across Greater Manchester.
Open to GM=EqAl members, Greater Manchester community members and invited stakeholders.
About this event
Live Well: Spaces of Hope and Connection is a £16.5 million National Lottery Community Fund programme supporting community-led spaces and connections across Greater Manchester.
Alongside the ten place-based Local Infrastructure Organisations working across Greater Manchester’s boroughs, GM=EqAl is leading the programme’s pan-GM equity strand, helping ensure that communities connected by identity, lived experience and shared barriers are meaningfully involved in the programme’s design and delivery.
We are currently in the co-design phase. Between now and October 2026, we will work together to develop the Theory of Change that will help shape how the equity strand operates, who it reaches, and how it complements and strengthens the wider programme across Greater Manchester.
What we will do together on the day
These sessions are designed as collaborative working spaces rather than presentations. We want to hear from communities, organisations and partners about the opportunities, challenges and practical considerations involved in supporting geographically dispersed communities and building inclusive approaches within the programme.
Together, we will explore questions including:
- How can the equity strand add value alongside place-based approaches across Greater Manchester?
- Which communities and voices are currently less represented, and what would help strengthen engagement and participation?
- What would meaningful success look like over the next four years, and how can communities help shape and influence that journey?
