Welcoming the Newest Member of the Greater Manchester VCFSE Leadership Group
Following our open call for a new local interfaith network representative some months ago, we are pleased to introduce Khadija Patel, Founder and Director of Bolton-based Krimmz Girls Youth Club, as a new Greater Manchester Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) Leadership Group member.
The appointment follows an open recruitment process to strengthen representation from local interfaith networks within the Leadership Group. The selection process was undertaken by our current members whose work focus is around faith and faith networks in Greater Manchester.
Khadija will act as a catalyst and connector between the Leadership Group and local interfaith networks, helping to build relationships, share intelligence and champion the role of faith organisations at a strategic level.
Khadija brings extensive experience in faith-led community engagement and inclusion. As Founder and Director of Krimmz Girls Youth Club, she has spent more than a decade supporting Muslim girls and women from diverse backgrounds through leadership, wellbeing and community development programmes. She also serves as a Chaplain at Royal Bolton Hospital, providing faith-based pastoral support to people of all faiths and beliefs. Through these roles, Khadija has developed strong connections across faith and community networks and is a passionate advocate for equality, inclusion and the representation of under-served communities.

The GM VCFSE Leadership Group was established to provide a strong voice for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector within Greater Manchester's devolved decision-making structures. The Groupworks to influence policy, investment and partnership activity, ensuring the sector's contribution is recognised and embedded across key agendas.
Following our most recent membership review, we will be launching an open call for other expertise gaps in a number of areas: Arts and Culture, Veterans, Youth Justice, Refugee and Asylum Seekers, Economy and Business, and Employment and Skills.
