Charles is Chief Officer of the Caribbean & African Health Network Greater Manchester. He sits on local and national governance boards including Manchester Foundation Truest Council of Governors, Faith Network for Manchester, Macc (Manchester Community Central), Greater Manchester Voluntary Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) Leadership Group, Government SAGE ethnicity subgroup.

Charles is a great advocate for equity and fairness across a range of important health and wellbeing issues for people of the Caribbean and African Diaspora. He is involved in work that influencesthe research, policy and practive agenda at local, regional and national levels. His special interest includes Organ and Blood Donation, civic and dempcratic participation, Female Genital Mutilation, HIV, Domestic Violence, Modern Slavery, Hate Crime and Corced Marriage.

Charles is a member of the NHS England HIV Clinical Reference Group. He is passionate about engaging African faith leaders especially Pastors and organising health initiatives such as HIV testing and organ Donor recruitment in churches on Sundays.
