This document was produced by ViiV Healthcare for a round table at Westminister on HIV and Integrated Care Boards which took place on 25th June 2025, chaired by Michael Payne MP, Chair of the APPG on HIV and attended by the President of the Association of Directors of Public Health as well as locality leads, charities and commissioners.
The report highlights which Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) are leading the way in HIV care and support and includes George House Trust's approach in Greater Manchester to co-design and inclusion. It features George House Trust and the NHS Greater Manchester funded Intensive Support Programme as a case study. Greater Manchester is one of 9 ICB’s including HIV in their Joint Forward Plan and is being championed as one of the examples of how to do this work well.
The case study is an example of Greater Manchester's collaborative, cross-sector approach. The Greater Manchester Intensive Support offer is enabled through close and effective partnership between NHS Greater Manchester (the funder), George House Trust, Manchester Foundation Trust and all 10 boroughs (thanks to public health/local authority investment in our core offer) and the locality based Foundation Trusts that we work with to support people living with HIV to thrive.
