Development of Salford’s Social Value Toolkit

The Greater Manchester VCFSE Accord sets out a shared commitment between the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector and public sector partners to strengthen collaboration to help deliver better outcomes for communities. Salford are leading the way in measuring and building social value.

The development of a Social Value Toolkit is supporting a more financially sustainable VCFSE sector and helping partners and commissioning better recognise the vital role of our sector.

The Salford Social Value Alliance, facilitated by Salford CVS, brings together organisations across Salford that are committed to delivering better social, environmental and economic outcomes for local communities. As part of this work, the Alliance launched its ambitious 10% Better Campaign, encouraging organisations to increase their contribution to social value and make a measurable difference to people's lives.

The Social Value Toolkit came about as a way of helping members to consistently measure, evidence and communicate the impact of their activities.
