Social Value and the VCFSE Sector - Key messages for our commissioners

Defining social value has been a key objective for our Commissioning and Investment sub-group of the GM VCFSE Leadership Group. This document sets out eight key messages for commissioners of Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations in Greater Manchester.

This resource outlines eight key messages for Greater Manchester Commissioners on how social value should be understood, measured and secured. It also includes our key recommendations for partners, alongside the eight core messages.

The document was developed through the Greater Manchester VCFSE Accord, which aims to strengthen relationships between Greater Manchester’s VCFSE sector and public sector partners. It supports this objective by promoting a fairer and more equitable approach to commissioning across the sector.
