System Leadership training (recorded online sessions)

Systems Leadership is all about amplifying a model of leadership that’s not about managing, but about how to make things happen, across sectors, in a collaborative way. It is designed to help you lead when you don't have positional power, levers to pull, or a large budget to wield. The following recorded online training sessions will support you in your role as a voluntary, community, faith and social enteprise (VCFSE) rep.

1. Inclusive Leadership with Atif Choudhury, Diversity and Ability (D&A)

Topics include:

  • Intersectionality (interconnected nature of social identities and barriers)
  • Inclusive Leadership
  • Effective participation
  • Neurodiversity

  • What not to do when exercising leadership

3. Keeping Change Going - Leading Through Uncertainty with Debbie Sorkin, The Leadership Center

Topics include:  

  • What it means to work in uncertainty
  • Using ideas around leading though transitions
  • Endings: handling it well
  • Kotter’s 8 steps of change
  • How to support yourself and team to work in uncertainty – building and developing resilience

4. Community Engagement & Leadership Kat Pursall, 10GM

Topics include:  

  • Purpose of community engagement
  • Transitioning from community engagement with the system to community leadership in the system
