Key messages for strategic conversations in this space

Read the briefing for the full details.
  • There’s a significant gap incurrent GM retrofits models that mean vulnerable households cannot have retrofit on their properties, largely related to damp and mould, whether social, private rented or owner occupied. Households most vulnerable to the energy crisis are structurally excluded from long‑term energy solutions.
  • VCFSE trust, engagement, and coordination are critical in this crisis.
  • The GM VCFSE Accord (2026-2035) has now been signed by GM Leaders and reinforces and recognises the vital role of the VCFSE sector -use this in your strategic conversations as a reminder of commitments made.
