Greater Manchester is changing the way public services work by shifting the focus from crisis to prevention.

As the UK’s first Prevention Demonstrator, Greater Manchester is proving that when support is rooted in neighbourhoods - from health and family help to jobs and community connection - people thrive and pressure on services falls.

Through our Live Well approach, local organisations, the NHS, councils and communities are coming together to tackle problems early, build confidence and create the conditions for everyone to live happier, healthier lives. This is the blueprint for a fairer, more preventative system built from the bottom up.
