Developing Greater Manchester’s VCFSE Ecosystem (2024-25)
A core purpose of the GM VCFSE Accord is to develop the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) ecosystem in Greater Manchester.
Developing the VCFSE ecosystem means growing VCFSE infrastructure capacity locally, and supporting the development of ‘scaffolding’ to enable the involvement of communities of identity, experience and place.
This work takes place across Greater Manchester by developing communications and collaboration between local VCFSE infrastructure organisations (such as Manchester Community Central, Salford CVS and Action Together) and Greater Manchester-level system stakeholders (such as GMCA).
By deepening the relationships between local authorities in Greater Manchester and local VCFSE infrastructure organisations, we can expand community leadership, develop sustainable investment models and support GM-wide programmes that aim to better the lives of our residents and communities.
This report provides a summary of activity in this area between April 2024 and March 2025.
